Michael Hardie has an extensive background in developing and delivering wellbeing and community initiatives from Glasgow to Goodna; from breakfast clubs in primary schools to interactive drama tours in secondary. With over 20 years in education and health promotion, Michael has developed a passion for the practical application of positive psychology and neuroscience in learning and leadership. He is currently completing a Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing.
Over the last year Michael has been developing the new role of ‘mental health and wellbeing coach’ with Queensland Government’s Department of Education and Training and is strongly committed to creating the conditions that maximise and integrate whole school wellbeing and learning. For 10 years prior to this move, Michael headed up the KidsMatter Primary initiative in Queensland growing his skills in strategic change management along with his passion for working with school communities to nurture happy, balanced kids. Michael loves spending time creatively and mindfully in his home town of Brisbane, with his wife Angela and children Rory and Beth.
