Athena Vass

Athena will provide an insight into her research which has shown that teacher resilience is influenced by factors such as personality, the nature of a school environment and how teachers perceive their work demands. She has discovered that the types of concepts and techniques used in mental health prevention programs aimed at children and adolescents can indirectly benefit teachers. This workshop is targeted at teachers, school leaders and community workers who are looking to gain a greater understanding of how to effectively lead wellbeing. Athena will also discuss her Positive Psychology program at Buckley Park and share principles of best practice.
